Position Overview
This full-time, on-site position for a Certified Medical Assistant at Specialty Medical Center encompasses responsibilities across various operational tasks. The Certified Medical Assistant will engage in essential duties, including assisting in medical procedures, utilizing medical terminology, overseeing office protocols, delivering patient care, and accurately maintaining medical documentation.
- Proficient in preparing patients for consultations and documenting thorough notes.
- Assist specialty providers in ensuring all necessary documentation is ready for an efficient check-in process.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Dr. Chrono, to schedule appointments, manage prescriptions, process MRI requests, and review patient charts.
- Willingness to travel between multiple locations as required.
- Ability to complete patient notes in the EMR system and flag important information for each patient.
- Understanding of medical terminology is essential.
- Capable of performing blood draws and administering injections.
- Strong time management skills to facilitate effective communication between providers and patients.
