Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Lead Mechanics to oversee our team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics, ensuring the upkeep of our fleet of shared vehicles. This role is perfect for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to expand their professional skills. Collaboration is essential, as our mechanics work collectively to enhance product quality and maintain the safety of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Onboard, mentor, and manage a team of Mechanics and Senior Mechanics, delegating daily tasks to optimize workflow.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and integrate new team members effectively.
  • Assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to management.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure operational compliance and vehicle safety before deployment.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols to guarantee the security of Lime riders.
  • Document completed quality checks accurately for vehicles and components.
  • Oversee battery operations, including inspections and inventory management.
  • Assist in organizing tools, parts, and vehicles to streamline operations.
  • Perform tire maintenance tasks such as changes and inflation as needed.
  • Identify and address minor repairs on vehicles in the field to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Uphold safety and hygiene standards within the warehouse environment.
  • Execute in-warehouse repairs, ranging from basic maintenance to complex electronic replacements.
  • Maximize vehicle availability by efficiently completing assigned tasks.
  • Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks and vans for vehicle deployment and retrieval.
  • Carry out additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field, with a preference for candidates who can train others.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs (35 kg) regularly.
  • Understanding of workforce management principles to assist in efficient staffing.
  • Comfortable with learning new tools and concepts.
  • Proficient in using data for decision-making and understanding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Familiarity with mobile applications; iOS experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks or push carts safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform timely repairs.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage daily responsibilities effectively.
  • A safety-focused mindset, able to conduct thorough quality checks.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members at all levels.
