Position Overview
As a Fleet Technician at Frito-Lay, you play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet vehicles. This position is ideal for individuals who possess mechanical skills and are looking for a rewarding career in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet vehicles, diagnosing mechanical problems, managing parts inventory, and accurately charging parts and labor to work orders. Here are some of the frequent tasks you can expect to perform:
- Utilize your expertise to assist junior mechanics with complex repairs.
- Establish relationships with vendors to obtain estimates for parts and services.
- Engage with a diverse group of Frito-Lay drivers, including professional truck drivers and sales representatives.
- Perform physical tasks that may involve working in confined spaces beneath vehicles.
Before applying, please ensure you meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to work on or under trucks for an entire shift (8 to 12 hours), with or without reasonable accommodation.
