Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Systems Engineer to join our team at Warehouse Workers, LLC. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for automated machinery and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Control Systems: Create and implement control systems for automated machinery and processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Program and Configure PLCs and HMIs: Program and configure Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to meet the needs of our automated systems.
  • Troubleshoot and Optimize Control Systems: Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to ensure they are functioning at peak performance, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate control systems into overall project designs, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Perform Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems at customer sites, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality and performance.
  • Provide Technical Support and Training: Offer technical support and training to customers and internal teams, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively use our control systems.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Advancements: Stay current with the latest advancements in control technologies and apply them to improve our solutions, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.
Qualifications
  • Proven Experience in Controls Engineering: Possess proven experience in controls engineering, automation, or a related field, with a strong understanding of electrical schematics and control system design principles.
  • Proficiency in Programming PLCs and HMIs: Be proficient in programming PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices, with experience working with control software such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or similar platforms.
  • Strong Communication and Teamwork Skills: Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear, concise technical support and training.
  • Self-Motivated and Independent: Be self-motivated and able to work independently, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Robotics and Motion Control Systems: Possess experience working with robotics and motion control systems, with a strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Safety Standards and Regulations: Be familiar with safety standards and regulations related to automated systems, with a strong understanding of data acquisition and SCADA systems.
