In this role, you will deliver specialized technical knowledge to support both new and ongoing product initiatives, as well as process and production operations. You will ensure that management is kept informed of any challenges or concerns by executing the following responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

  1. Develop and oversee a comprehensive engineering timeline for all projects. Lead, coordinate, and manage team efforts to meet all objectives outlined in the master schedule.
  2. Draft specifications for equipment and tooling, oversee the design, construction, installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment in alignment with the master schedule.
  3. Prepare all necessary documentation for capital investments and secure approvals from senior management.
  4. Establish manufacturing processes that align with all key performance indicators for capital investments, including cost, scrap rates, performance, delivery, layout, cycle time, efficiency, safety, ergonomics, and quality standards.
  5. Generate comprehensive documentation for processes, which may include specifications, PFMEAs, risk assessments, process plans, PFDs, work combination tables, design reviews, trial reports, work instructions, condition standards, and capacity tracking.
  6. Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives post-production.
  7. Actively work to develop processes that minimize the transfer of defects to subsequent stages while implementing countermeasures for those that do.
  8. Engage in problem-solving and investigate issues using root cause analysis and reporting.
  9. Conduct all activities in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and client standards and best practices.


SUPERVISORY ROLE
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proficient programming and troubleshooting skills with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and electronic control circuits.
Ability to create complex PLC programs from the ground up and design/build the associated control circuits.
Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols, including Ethernet, CC-Link, and serial communication.
Experience in programming and instructing IAI and six-axis robots.
Familiarity with writing macros and IP addressing.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey requirements to customers and suppliers.
Proven project management and leadership capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create technical presentations and documents.
Ability to interpret drawings, identify critical characteristics, lead design reviews, and develop PFMEAs.
Competence in leading and conducting root cause analysis for existing issues and potential risks.
Knowledge of Toyota Production System and lean manufacturing principles.
Strong work ethic, ownership of projects, and a commitment to maintaining high productivity levels.
High aptitude for grasping engineering principles and new technologies.
Familiarity with TS and ISO standards.
Excellent attendance and punctuality.
Experience in a multicultural work environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operational and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with problem-solving abilities. Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence and effectively speaking before groups of team members.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Project. Skilled in using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other drafting software.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Knowledge of calculus, trigonometry, and other advanced mathematical concepts for analysis, design, and troubleshooting. Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and apply mathematical operations to tasks such as frequency distribution, test reliability and validity, variance analysis, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and managing multiple variables.
