Job Summary

The Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual individual to join our team as a Bilingual Legal Services Aide. This role will provide critical support to our Immigration Legal Services department, assisting clients with legal services and fingerprinting services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Respond to inquiries about immigration legal services, establish appointments, and conduct initial pre-screening interviews to collect information and documentation.
  • Case Management: Compile and package necessary documents for application submission, track progress, and follow up on requests for evidence or denials.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the ILS team with tasks such as communication with clients, maintaining files, and other assigned projects.
  • Fingerprinting Services: Conduct digital fingerprints, enter sponsors' information into the fingerprint database, and submit completed information electronically.
  • Counseling and Education: Counsel sponsors on completion of family reunification packets and other related forms.
Requirements
  • Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Administrative Skills: Ability to complete basic clerical functions, typing, filing, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Cultural Competence: Cross-cultural sensitivity and knowledge with the ability and desire to work with people of other cultures.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
