Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

We are in search of a skilled Project Manager with experience in Department of Defense (DoD) contracts. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks including business development, contract oversight, proposal creation, budget management, and additional responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee task order contracts management
  • Proficient in estimating, including RSMeans
  • Draft sources sought, requests for information, and proposals
  • Engage in business development activities, maintaining and fostering client relationships
  • Collaborate with clients to identify and develop new opportunities
  • Contribute to the overall Business Development strategy for contracts, including presentations
  • Responsible for comprehensive management of project tasks, including profit and loss, quality assurance, reporting, and compliance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for contract-related issues, maintaining direct communication with clients, customers, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to schedule and financial goals by monitoring and forecasting project progress and requirements.
  • Prepare project submissions, work plans, and reports.
  • Evaluate project performance using relevant systems, tools, and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation and plans.
  • Review contracts for precision and completeness.
  • Support the Corporate Safety Program as necessary.
  • Assist in managing project initiations and all associated tasks.
  • Coordinate with HR for onboarding, performance assessments, etc.
  • Management duties are diverse, with expectations for direct oversight of contract personnel.
  • Travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Utilize Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools.
  • Prior experience with 8(a) companies is preferred.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Certified Construction Manager or a Bachelor's degree in a Construction/Engineering related field with over eight years of experience;
  • MDE "Green Card" holder (can be obtained post-employment)
  • OSHA 30 Certification (can be obtained post-employment)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with RSMeans.
  • Prior experience with Federal DoD contracts.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Attributes

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess an Active Secret clearance
  • Valid Driver's License
