Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at St. Anthony North Hospital. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining and administering culinary and nutrition services, ensuring operational needs are met, and promoting patient satisfaction with nutritional services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating patient and retail service standards and ensuring they are met.
  • Conduct sanitation audits and performance audits on a consistent basis.
  • Identify current learning needs and opportunities for staff and direct processes to address them.
  • Follow purchasing agreements and compliance goals set forth by departmental/Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) program leadership.
  • Direct all patient non-interactive positions and provide for the operational needs of these positions.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and infection control practices.
  • Conduct frequent patient rounding and visitations.
  • Ensure regulatory standards are encompassed in nutrition programs and work with other departments to coordinate standards as appropriate.
  • Maintain adequate staffing for daily needs reflecting cost efficiency.
  • Assign staff and workload, respecting changing priorities in daily operations.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage performance of staff.
  • Conduct job shadowing audits to assess efficacy of training programs and provide coaching as needed.
  • Actively collaborate in the process of menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services.
  • Participate in hospital committees as indicated by department policies and procedures.
  • Oversee and plan menus for special events and catering.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Associates degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management preferred.
  • Food Service Safe Certification (CPFS), preferred.
