Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team at Snooze an A.M. Eatery. As a key member of our culinary team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development and Execution

The Executive Chef will be responsible for developing and implementing new menu items, as well as ensuring that existing menu items are prepared and presented to the highest standards.

Culinary Operations

The Executive Chef will oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. This will involve managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that all menu items are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.

Inventory Management

The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the inventory of food and supplies, including ordering and receiving stock, and ensuring that all items are stored and handled in a safe and efficient manner.

Quality Control

The Executive Chef will be responsible for ensuring that all menu items meet our high standards of quality and consistency. This will involve conducting regular taste tests and quality checks to ensure that all items are prepared and presented to the highest standards.

Team Management

The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff, including recruiting, training, and developing staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.

Cost Control

The Executive Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen budget, including controlling food and labor costs, and ensuring that all menu items are priced competitively.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

The Executive Chef should have a degree in culinary arts or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Skills and Qualifications

The Executive Chef should have excellent culinary skills, including knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and presentation. They should also have strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team of staff.

Physical Demands

The Executive Chef should be able to stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift and move heavy objects. They should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
