The **Customer Service Specialist** plays a vital role in enhancing patient interactions and ensuring seamless communication. This position is primarily focused on coordinating patient appointments with healthcare providers. Under close supervision, the specialist aims to create a positive experience for clients while maintaining high standards of service quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently schedule patient appointments at the earliest opportunity.
  • When applicable, ensure appointments are arranged with physicians who are part of the patient's insurance plan.
  • Promptly answer designated phone lines and direct calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Inform patients about clinic policies and their financial responsibilities.
  • Collect insurance details and referrals as necessary.
  • Accurately input comprehensive patient demographic data into the system.
  • Communicate clinic policies regarding payments and insurance to patients.
  • Verify insurance coverage and secure referrals when needed.
  • Update demographic information for new patients, including relevant insurance and referral details.
  • Confirm demographic data for returning patients who have not visited in the last three months and make necessary corrections in the system.
  • Contact insurance providers to confirm eligibility and benefits.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Familiarity with standard clinic operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Preferred experience includes six months in customer service or a call center environment.
