Key Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Program Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive beverage program that includes a wide range of spirits, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options.
  • Menu Curation: Create and maintain a high-quality beverage menu that aligns with the upscale dining experience, regularly updating it based on market trends and guest preferences.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory processes, including ordering, receiving, and organizing beverage supplies, while ensuring effective cost control measures are in place.

Team Development:

  • Provide training and education to staff on beverage knowledge, service techniques, and presentation standards.
  • Conduct ongoing training sessions to enhance product knowledge and service excellence.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the beverage team.

Supplier Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with beverage suppliers and distributors.
  • Negotiate advantageous pricing and promotional agreements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and new product introductions.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality beverage service.
  • Monitor guest feedback related to the beverage program and address any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create exceptional food and beverage pairings.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to all relevant laws and regulations regarding beverage service.
  • Implement standard operating procedures for responsible alcohol service.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of beverage products in compliance with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience managing beverage programs in upscale dining settings.
  • Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, along with current industry trends.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
  • Experience in training and mentoring staff effectively.
  • Proficient in inventory management and cost control strategies.
  • Understanding of local regulations regarding beverage service.
