Clinical Care Representative

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Respond to incoming calls and assess clinical inquiries from patients in a dynamic call center setting.
- Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional customer service for patients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Track and manage patient inquiries through the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Evaluate and prioritize patient requests submitted via the patient portal.
- Process prescription refills in accordance with established protocols.
- Communicate test results to patients following standard procedures.
- Deliver patient education under the guidance of healthcare providers.
- Handle administrative tasks which may include:
- Collecting medical records information.
- Managing referral details.
- Completing necessary forms and requisitions.
- Coordinating appointment scheduling.
- Exhibit flexibility and a collaborative spirit as a team member.
- Effectively manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Utilize strong professional judgment and communication skills over the phone.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a resident of the state of Maine.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required.
- Active and unrestricted RN or LPN license in Maine is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a primary care or hospital environment is essential.
- Triage experience is advantageous.
- Proficient in computer applications and accurate typing skills, particularly with EMR systems.
- Ability to effectively operate a telephone system.
- Strong typing and computer skills while managing phone conversations.
- Consistently meet performance and quality standards.
- Exhibit compassion, empathy, and the ability to educate patients on self-care and symptom management.
- Possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate and uphold the values of InterMed.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
