Position: MacOS Support Specialist

Location: Denver, CO

We are seeking a dedicated MacOS Support Specialist to enhance our IT Support Team. This team plays a crucial role in managing internal desktop and cloud application support, hardware assistance, and maintaining network infrastructure across various office locations. The environment primarily consists of 75% macOS devices and 25% Windows systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of laptop and mobile device troubleshooting, demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop their skills, and contribute innovative ideas in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

This is a full-time, contract-to-hire role with a competitive salary of up to $75,000 annually based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hardware and software support for both in-person and remote clients utilizing macOS and Windows systems, focusing primarily on macOS devices.
  • Manage and prioritize internal client issues submitted through a ticketing system or in-person interactions, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct end-user training on macOS and other company-provided software and hardware.
  • Perform diagnostics to gather information, identify errors, and resolve performance issues.
  • Test and implement new software, hardware, procedures, and upgrades.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of staff inventory, user accounts, and logins to streamline the onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors as needed to investigate issues and implement recommended solutions.
  • Oversee inventory levels of equipment to support the onboarding process.
  • Provision user accounts in cloud applications, VoIP systems, and secure printing management systems.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including account creation, device provisioning, and IT orientation.
  • Manage employee backup systems as part of the Disaster Recovery/Backup Plan.
  • Automate help desk tasks and maintain security profiles using MDM software (JAMF/Intune) for laptops and company smartphones.
  • Adhere to documented troubleshooting procedures and standards.
  • Contribute to the development of IT/Admin and Tech Training documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting macOS laptops or desktops in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with macOS (current version) and Windows 10, as well as cloud-based email and productivity tools (Office 365 & Google G-Suite), and mobile devices running iOS.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with non-technical staff.
  • Experience in configuring computers and applications, with balanced expertise in both Windows and macOS.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure installation and troubleshooting, including wired and wireless systems, VoIP, and managed printing.
  • Familiarity with centralized management/MDM tools for OS configuration and administration.
  • Basic knowledge of printer maintenance tasks, such as clearing jams and replacing toner.
  • Ability to follow written documentation for tasks and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Availability to work standard business hours, with occasional nights or weekends as needed. Must be able to spend significant time standing or walking around the office.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Denver office for the majority of the time.
  • Capability to routinely lift up to 30 lbs.
