Position: MacOS Support Specialist

Location: Denver, CO

We are seeking a dedicated MacOS Support Specialist to become a vital part of our IT Support Team. This team plays a crucial role in managing desktop and cloud application support, hardware assistance, and network infrastructure for our organization. The environment consists of a majority of macOS devices, with a smaller percentage of Windows systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting internal clients, demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills for laptops and mobile devices, and showing a willingness to expand their knowledge and contribute innovative ideas in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity with a competitive salary of up to $75,000 annually based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hardware and software support for both in-person and remote clients, focusing primarily on macOS systems.
  • Manage and prioritize internal client requests submitted through a ticketing system or in person, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions on macOS and other software and hardware utilized by the company.
  • Perform diagnostics to identify and resolve errors and performance issues.
  • Test and implement new software, hardware, and procedures, including installation and upgrades.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory database of all staff equipment, user accounts, and logins to streamline the onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement recommended solutions.
  • Oversee inventory levels of equipment to ensure efficient onboarding.
  • Provision user accounts in various cloud applications and manage secure printing systems.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including account creation and device provisioning.
  • Support the employee backup system as part of the Disaster Recovery/Backup Plan.
  • Automate help desk tasks and maintain security profiles using MDM software for company devices.
  • Adhere to documented troubleshooting procedures and standards.
  • Contribute to the development of IT/Admin and Tech Training documentation.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience supporting macOS laptops or desktops in a corporate environment is required.
  • Experience with macOS and Windows 10, as well as cloud-based productivity tools, is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with non-technical staff.
  • Experience in configuring computers and applications for both macOS and Windows systems.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and technologies, including wired and wireless setups.
  • Familiarity with centralized management/MDM tools for OS configuration.
  • Basic knowledge of printer maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to follow written documentation for tasks and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Availability to work standard business hours, with occasional nights or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to spend extended periods standing or walking within the office.
  • Capability to lift up to 30lbs regularly.
