Position: MacOS Support Specialist

Location: Denver, CO

We are seeking a dedicated MacOS Support Specialist to enhance our IT Support Team. This team plays a crucial role in managing internal desktop and cloud application support, as well as hardware assistance, while maintaining the network infrastructure across our office locations. The environment consists of approximately 75% macOS devices and 25% Windows systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at supporting internal clients, possess strong troubleshooting skills for laptops and mobile devices, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and contribute innovative ideas in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

This is a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity with a competitive salary of up to $75,000 annually, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hardware and software support for both in-person and remote clients, primarily focusing on macOS systems.
  • Manage internal client issues through a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct end-user training on macOS and other software and hardware utilized by the company.
  • Perform diagnostics to identify and resolve errors and performance issues.
  • Test and implement new software, hardware, and procedures, including installation and upgrades.
  • Maintain an inventory database for staff equipment and user accounts to streamline the onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement recommended solutions.
  • Oversee equipment inventory levels to support the onboarding process.
  • Provision user accounts in various cloud applications and manage secure printing systems.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, including account creation and device provisioning.
  • Support the employee backup system as part of the Disaster Recovery/Backup Plan.
  • Automate help desk tasks and manage security profiles using MDM software (JAMF/Intune).
  • Adhere to documented troubleshooting procedures and standards.
  • Contribute to the development of IT/Admin and Tech Training documentation.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting macOS laptops or desktops in a corporate environment.
  • Experience with macOS (current version) and Windows 10, as well as cloud-based productivity tools (Office 365 & Google G-Suite) and iOS devices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with non-technical staff.
  • Experience in configuring computers and applications, with a balanced focus on both Windows and macOS.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and technologies, including wired and wireless systems, VoIP, and managed printing.
  • Experience using centralized management/MDM tools for OS configuration and administration.
  • Basic knowledge of printer maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to follow written documentation for tasks and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Availability to work standard business hours, with occasional nights or weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work on-site for the majority of the time.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
