Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist

At Canon Business Process Services, we are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing ongoing support to our employee relations objectives and serving as the primary Human Resources business partner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate employee complaints, gathering relevant documentation and interviewing involved parties and witnesses.
  • Compile investigation findings into clear and concise reports for review by the Director of Employee Relations.
  • Work closely with the Director of Employee Relations and HR Business Partners to ensure effective handling of investigations.
  • Develop and implement recognition programs and other people-related initiatives.
  • Manage employee recognition programs, including Employee of the Month and Kudos letters.
  • Make recommendations to Senior Management on ways to improve employee satisfaction and motivation.
  • Analyze and benchmark recognition programs and HR policies to provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Research and recommend enhancements to our Company diversity program.
  • Stay up-to-date on federal and state employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with current HR policies and practices.
  • Coordinate HR Communication roll-outs and updates to employee policies and handbooks.
  • Facilitate employee events, including Bring your kids to work and Award Banquets.
  • Develop and implement discount programs and offers for employees.
  • Design and generate quarterly employee newsletters.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in Employee Relations or a related field.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Advanced organizational, administrative, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and influence.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into written word.
  • Ability to prioritize and work with others, including all levels of management.
  • Ability to resolve issues and take responsibility for work performed and delegated.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HR Management and labor relations principles.
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment.
Computer Skills:
  • Advanced report writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of HR Database programs.
  • Knowledge of MS Publisher and Graphic Design and Manipulation.
