Job Summary:

As a Senior Employee Relations Manager at New York University, you will play a critical role in managing employee and labor relations activities and initiatives. This includes contract administration, contract negotiations, policy and procedure compliance, and adherence to local, state, and federal laws governing employment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a variety of employee and labor relations activities and initiatives.
  • Contract administration and contract negotiations.
  • Policy and procedure compliance, including NYU's Protection of Minor's Policy.
  • Adherence to local, state, and federal laws governing employment practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Master's Degree in a related field or Juris Doctorate.
  • 5+ years of related labor management and employee relations experience in both union and non-union environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and labor laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including fact-finding, problem-solving, and developing effective solutions.
  • Strong leadership, influence, and relationship-building skills.
