Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Relations Specialist to join our team at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital. In this role, you will serve as an Ombudsman for our patients and family members, advocating for their rights and needs, and working to resolve complaints and concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a fair and impartial manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and address patient satisfaction issues.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience and satisfaction.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on their rights and responsibilities.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare teams to resolve conflicts and improve communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in patient relations, customer service, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
