Overview: The Vice President of Sales Strategy is tasked with driving revenue expansion within the San Antonio region. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including lead generation, pipeline development, advancing the sales cycle, securing new business, and meeting sales targets. The individual will cultivate relationships not only with corporate clients but also with local brokers and consultants. Active involvement in marketing and public relations initiatives will be crucial to connect with the San Antonio market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leverage an existing network of clients and broker relationships to convert them into sales opportunities.
  • Identify business prospects by assessing client feasibility, readiness, and conducting thorough market research.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of products and services to provide tailored solutions to clients.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with prospects in both corporate settings and the broker community.
  • Maintain client relationships by offering support, information, and guidance; exploring new opportunities; and suggesting service enhancements.
  • Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement through various professional development activities.
  • Assist in preparing responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Engage in speaking opportunities at industry-related events to enhance the organization's visibility.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and data utilizing Salesforce.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in a B2B context.
  • Consultative selling approach is essential.
  • Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
  • Preferred experience of 2-5 years in the employee benefits sector, ideally from an insurance carrier, health plan, TPA, or brokerage/consulting firm.
  • A successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with keen attention to detail. Strong time management and follow-through skills are vital.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work environment, including remote work options.

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated sales success in a B2B industry.
  • Experience with Salesforce and CRM systems.
  • Proficient in delivering presentations.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000. The specific compensation will be influenced by various factors, including the role's complexity, location, and the candidate's qualifications and experience. Full-time consultants will have access to benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401K contributions, along with other mandated benefits.
