Biosimilar Regional Account Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The Biosimilar Regional Account Manager will be responsible for managing targeted customer accounts in the institutional, clinic, specialty wholesale distribution, specialty pharmacy, and market access classes of trade for the Teva product portfolio with an emphasis on biosimilars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop relationships with customer targets based on individual product strategies.
  • Implement product access strategies and tactics for all defined targets in collaboration with Marketing and other internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop opportunities with customer targets through data analysis and contract negotiations to meet and exceed assigned sales goals.
  • Ensure contract compliance to increase pull-through sales and report market intelligence.
  • Collaborate with various internal strategic partners, including Market Access, Trade, Marketing, Medical, Brand Team, Finance, National Accounts, and Pricing/Contract teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
  • 5 years of professional experience in Account Management, Sales, or Marketing, or 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience in buy & bill market, preferably in biosimilar market.
  • Experience working in a hospital or IDN market.
  • History of superior sales results and strong business acumen.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement and 340B.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand strategy and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in delivering and executing contracts.

Travel Requirements:

Up to 50% travel is required. Incumbent must live within 60 miles of workload center within their territory.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional sitting for extended periods of time at work station or mobile equipment.

Working Environment:

May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed on site visits.

Credentialing Requirements:

Employees in customer-facing roles will be required to complete all Teva customer credentialing requirements for access to their customers within 60 days of their start date.
