We are currently seeking a meticulous and organized Paralegal HR Specialist to enhance our dynamic team. This role will involve daily interactions with clients and employees, focusing on compliance activities, policy formulation, employee relations, and legal adherence within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the HR Compliance Manager to monitor and analyze evolving employment legislation; disseminate relevant information to stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary contact for Workers' Compensation claims related to the Contingent Workforce.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Leaves of Absence (FMLA and applicable state laws) requests from the Contingent Workforce.
  • Support the Operations team with inquiries related to compliance.
  • Provide assistance for escalated employee relations matters; conduct thorough investigations and offer objective recommendations.
  • Compile detailed reports addressing investigations and compliance issues in employee relations.
  • Develop and revise company forms and contracts utilized in business operations.
  • Design and facilitate training for managers and departments on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Assist with determining eligibility for Independent Contractors and managing compliance.
  • Engage in additional compliance projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, Legal, or Compliance/Regulatory roles.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Paralegal Certificate and/or PHR Certificate.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate regulations and laws effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills for interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capacity to manage detailed, confidential, and time-sensitive tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative mindset.

Salary & Benefits
