Position Overview:
The Anywhere Automation Engineering team is dedicated to creating versatile tools and functionalities that empower internal product development teams to expedite and streamline software releases.


We are in search of a Lead Software Automation Engineer who will significantly enhance the daily operations of developers and engineers at Anywhere.

This role involves collaborating with development teams to identify their requirements, refine their workflows, and automate processes. The primary objective is to minimize inefficiencies in the developers' daily tasks, allowing them to focus on more critical responsibilities. Additionally, you will be responsible for training team members on our solutions, necessitating a blend of engineering expertise and consultative skills.

Strong interpersonal skills are essential for engaging effectively with developers across various teams. The ability to listen, comprehend, and deliver on developer needs is vital, alongside being a proficient senior engineer.

This is a senior-level position that entails active code contribution and demands exceptional collaboration, communication, and documentation abilities.

The ideal candidate will possess high energy and the capability to foster peer relationships that encourage positive and transparent interactions.

Proven experience in developing cloud-native applications is required, along with significant experience in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline solutions. A solid understanding of Networking, Security, DevOps, and Git principles is also necessary.

Key Responsibilities:


Engage with developers to ascertain their requirements, providing tailored solutions and effectively communicating these solutions to the team and broader organization.

Develop automation tools utilizing Docker, AWS Lambda, and other AWS services.

Design highly configurable IaC templates using CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.

Create CI/CD pipelines for end-to-end automation with tools such as GitLab, BitBucket, or Azure DevOps.

Collaborate with Product Development, Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Information Security, and Compliance teams to gather requirements and implement automation solutions.

Champion engineering best practices, metrics, and contribute to establishing standards for technical excellence.

Required Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in software development.

3+ years as a developer specializing in microservices and RESTful services.

2+ years of experience in developing cloud-native applications using AWS Lambda, ECS, or Kubernetes, or equivalent Azure technologies.

2+ years of experience with AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.

2+ years of experience in scripting CI/CD pipelines and DevOps, integrating with tools like Sonar and Contrast.

Strong proficiency in networking and security concepts such as DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and Encryption.

Familiarity with the MEAN Stack is advantageous: Angular, NodeJS, Express, MongoDB Atlas.

Experience with Python and Golang is a plus.

Experience with scripting/automation tools such as BASH/KSH/ZSH is beneficial.

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
