Position Overview:

The Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and maintenance of robust data pipelines at scale. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of software developers and data engineers in creating and maintaining application software and data pipelines for real-time and batch processing, ensuring high standards of data quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Data Science, Product Management, and Engineering teams, to deliver impactful solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Oversee the development of user interfaces, APIs, and data layers that promote data accessibility and usability across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices for application security, privacy, and data governance.
  • Evaluate and implement industry-standard tools and methodologies for software development and data analysis.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance post-launch, ensuring optimal performance and availability of applications.
  • Manage team resources, including staffing and budget oversight, to meet project goals effectively.
  • Mentor team members to foster professional growth and enhance collaborative efforts across departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in software development and data engineering, particularly in operational domains.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing user experiences, RESTful APIs, and data architectures.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale technical solutions that yield significant business value.
  • Ability to navigate complex technical challenges and facilitate solutions across distributed teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in project management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in data analysis, software development, and project leadership. Advanced knowledge of data engineering principles and machine learning frameworks is essential.
