Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the selected candidate will deliver Engineering and Maintenance support across multiple facilities within the organization. Collaboration with Manufacturing Directors, Plant Managers, Production Managers, Process Engineers, Technicians, and other personnel is essential to enhance maintenance excellence initiatives, provide engineering solutions, drive productivity enhancements, oversee significant projects, champion safety protocols, and address daily engineering and maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in both large-scale and small-scale projects with minimal supervision.
  • Support and promote Maintenance excellence initiatives within the facilities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s processes, products, and machinery.
  • Lead major capital projects, managing all project management aspects including budget, schedule, status updates, client interactions, and adherence to design objectives.
  • Assess new technologies and recommend alternative equipment and process systems, including vendor evaluations and selections.
  • Assist local management in identifying skill gaps among maintenance staff and participate in the evaluation of maintenance candidates.
  • Be prepared to work the necessary hours to achieve objectives, which may include weekends, extended hours, and travel commitments of 25-50%.
  • Monitor project expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

This role may require travel and is based in various locations.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences, with a preference for Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent, with hands-on mechanical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in advanced computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, CAD, project management software, etc.).
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, automation, and PLCs.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC 5, SLC 500, and ControlLogix controllers, DeviceNet and Ethernet networks, HMI development, VFDs, and various field sensors.
  • Knowledge of NEC (NFPA70), NFPA70E, and OSHA Electrical Safety standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in Project Management is expected.

Compensation:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $104,325 to $125,190, with an annual incentive awarded based on the achievement of business and individual objectives as determined by the company and department leadership.
