Position Overview:

Join our vibrant team and contribute to a company committed to making a meaningful difference through delicious and nutritious food products. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will oversee and manage inbound and outbound transportation for both domestic and international clients and suppliers. This role is crucial in providing essential information and support regarding transportation alternatives and order status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate outbound customer shipments from various distribution centers.
  • Engage with transportation providers across all modes to acquire rate quotes, transit times, and to monitor and expedite shipments as necessary to meet customer expectations.
  • Coordinate customer returns efficiently.
  • Manage blanket releases of raw materials and verify all necessary documentation for international transport.
  • Conduct freight payment audits and resolve any invoicing disputes with carriers.
  • Assist in claims filing by researching and compiling required information.
  • Prepare and modify documents such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, etc.
  • Maintain file setups for inbound Purchase Orders.
  • Input data and execute transactions in the corporate ERP system.
  • Deliver high-quality service to both internal and external customers in all assigned tasks.
  • Provide delivery updates and Proof of Delivery to Accounting and Sales as required.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by the Logistics Manager or other Logistics Coordinators.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Experience with domestic transportation terminology and procedures, including freight terms, documentation, claims filing, load planning, and shipment tendering.
  • Knowledge of international transportation terms and procedures, including INCOTERMS, ISF filing, Commercial Invoices, customs clearance, and Harmonized Tariff classification.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a focus on follow-up and organizational capabilities.
