Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Logistics Sales Consultant is responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Your primary duties will include:

  • Identifying, generating, and closing new sales opportunities through both inside and outside sales efforts.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with carrier partners to secure capacity.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of accounts using our Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Overseeing all aspects of account management for transportation brokerage accounts.
  • Collaborating effectively within the brokerage team.
  • Presenting and promoting company products and services to both new and existing clients.
  • Prospecting and reaching out to potential customers via phone, email, and in-person visits.
  • Achieving agreed-upon sales targets.
  • Addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints.
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments to keep clients informed of developments.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of the logistics and third-party logistics (3PL) industry.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels of customer and carrier organizations.
  • Strong negotiation abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • A high level of motivation and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in phone and email communication, along with the ability to multitask and assist clients as needed.
  • A solid understanding of MS Office, Windows, and basic business software.
