Position Overview: The HVAC Controls Program Leader will spearhead the initiatives of a diverse product development team focused on designing new or improved HVAC control systems.

This role is crucial in ensuring that both technical and commercial goals are achieved throughout our product development lifecycle. Responsibilities include conducting intricate tasks related to the design, assessment, and testing of new or existing engineering products. The leader will guide engineers to ensure effective project completion.

Engagement with management, production, and marketing teams is essential to evaluate the engineering viability, cost efficiency, and market demand for both new and existing products.


Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with global management and business leaders to define project scope and objectives, including risk assessments that significantly influence project costs, timelines, investments, and technological advancements.

Actively participate in defining project and product specifications related to marketing and technical requirements. Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating the assignments of project team members. Develop innovative strategies and solutions to address team, technical, or scheduling challenges. Utilize effective communication and facilitation skills within and outside the development team. Adhere to established new product development protocols and guidelines to leverage shared organizational knowledge and expertise. Engage in the formulation and application of project management procedures, guidelines, and methodologies. Document project activities, issues, concerns, and status updates to keep management informed and facilitate timely resolution of project challenges. Foster an environment conducive to team member growth, collaboration, productivity, recognition, and accountability while successfully achieving project goals. Integrate business, marketing, and technological elements to create a unified project vision and team charter. Demonstrate the ability to meet both short- and long-term deadlines. Effectively address the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Exhibit reliability and dependability in work performance. Thrive in a global team setting.

Showcase the ability to manage stress while maintaining a positive and cooperative demeanor with internal and external clients and colleagues.

Exhibit the capacity to perform cognitive tasks such as decision-making, learning, rational thinking, and exercising sound judgment. Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline, complemented by additional training or short courses in management techniques and principles. A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering product development. Experience leading or participating in embedded software projects or enterprise software development initiatives. Exceptional coaching and mentoring abilities. Strong planning skills with meticulous attention to detail. Proven leadership skills along with proficient verbal and written communication abilities in English. Knowledge of HVAC Systems and Components is essential.

PMI certification is preferred. Familiarity with DFSS techniques is advantageous. Base compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $135,000. Benefits may vary based on region, business alignment, union involvement, and employee status.
