WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: This role provides an opportunity to immerse yourself in HVAC product innovation, emphasizing the testing of new solutions, sustainability efforts, and quality enhancements. As an HVAC Product Innovation Technician, you will acquire practical experience in operating commercial HVAC systems, managing testing facilities, and troubleshooting alongside seasoned professionals.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION:
- Operate and sustain commercial HVAC systems, ensuring precise data collection for new product innovation and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Assist in the assembly, modification, and construction of experimental HVAC systems, complying with engineering and safety regulations.
- Support Test Engineering and fellow Technicians in establishing and utilizing laboratory testing apparatus, including data acquisition systems, power analyzers, and flow measurement tools.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC technologies, collaborating with senior laboratory personnel to address challenges and enhance performance.
- Uphold a safe working environment and adhere to organizational policies and procedures.
ARE YOU A TALENTED HVAC TECHNICIAN?
- Associate degree in HVAC or a two-year equivalent program in HVAC from an accredited institution.
- Consideration for candidates with a one-year certificate/diploma and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience, with the opportunity to complete an associate degree in HVAC within two years.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
- EPA Type Universal Certification or a willingness to obtain certification.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration-related thermodynamic principles and mechanical troubleshooting is preferred.
- Knowledge of measurement and inspection tools, as well as mechanical and electrical components, is crucial.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation, and safety guidelines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team setting.
- Willingness to multitask and address practical challenges in situations with limited standardization.
