About the Role

Gilead Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Automation Director to join our team. As a key member of our Digital Marketing Operations team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing marketing automation campaigns that drive customer engagement and conversion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement marketing automation campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive customer engagement, lead generation, and sales.
  • Develop and implement both short-term and long-term roadmaps for improving marketing automation capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of changes to customer communication and privacy laws to manage customer data in a compliant way.
  • Create complex customer journeys with trigger-based automation campaigns and develop personalized content for email, social media, SMS, and other media channels.
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Operations Business Partners to ensure campaigns are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and business objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness and ROI.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing automation trends, best practices, and technologies.
  • Manage outsourced resources on delivering the operational tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience
  • Masters' Degree and Eight Years' Experience
  • Ph.D. and Six Years' Experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful marketing automation campaigns that drive customer engagement, lead generation, and sales conversion.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or other marketing automation platforms, email marketing, SMS, push notifications, and other digital channels.
  • Any of the following certifications a plus:
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Admin
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant
    • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist
  • Experience with A/B testing and campaign optimization techniques.
  • Experience in managing outsourced resources and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to US pharmaceutical marketing, including FDA regulations and guidelines.
  • Direct experience running marketing campaigns through a US biotech/pharma regulatory review process is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize workload.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical, or biotech industries is a plus.
