Role Overview: This role entails both client acquisition and comprehensive account management for prestigious Fortune 500 companies, government entities, large educational institutions, healthcare systems, and tribal organizations. Responsibilities encompass the entire customer journey, from identifying new sales prospects to engaging with C-Level executives, delivering compelling sales presentations, ensuring diligent follow-up, and navigating complex contract negotiations.

A Typical Day for the Senior Account Executive:

  • Continuously manage client accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention through exceptional customer service, including regular follow-ups, problem resolution, and identifying emerging needs.
  • Oversee installation projects in collaboration with various teams to guarantee timely delivery, successful implementation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer inquiries for information, support, assistance, joint proposals, and pricing.
  • Respond to demand sales inquiries.
  • Support colleagues within the sales/service team to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in proactive sales initiatives, including needs assessments, application development, proposal presentations, order negotiations, and post-sales service requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with MIS and Telecommunications Managers to drive revenue growth and client retention.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in developing RFP templates and successfully securing multi-site bids with contract values in the millions.
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven success in selling technical solutions to large enterprises.
  • Demonstrated success in telecommunications and internet sales to end-users, including strategic large businesses and government accounts, utilizing relationship management and system sales strategies.
  • Ability to effectively engage with C-level executives.
  • Proven track record in formulating and executing multi-year sales revenue plans for complex accounts.
  • Experience in systems selling, consultative sales techniques, and strategic account planning, including profiling, positioning strategies, customer needs analysis, opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long-term account management strategies.
  • Strong business acumen in funnel management and forecasting within a CRM environment.
  • In-depth product knowledge of both switched and dedicated services, along with associated end-user and carrier applications.
  • Operational knowledge of telecommunications ordering, provisioning, and billing processes.
  • Familiarity with general marketing principles, tools, and processes.
  • Decision-making skills essential for maintaining customer retention.
  • History of achieving sales revenues exceeding $50K annually.
  • Active involvement in trade and commercial organizations to enhance market awareness of the company.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory record as per company standards and policies.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $105,000, with an uncapped commission plan and potential bonuses. Actual pay may vary based on relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.

Commission Structure: Targeted commissions at full attainment are $72,000 annually, with potential for significant earnings for those who exceed sales targets.
