Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Custodial Operations Assistant Manager is tasked with overseeing the daily operational and administrative functions across multiple educational facilities within the district. This role involves managing and leading assigned resources, including personnel, materials, equipment, and budget, to ensure compliance with the standards established between ABM Industries and its clients. The Assistant Manager will be required to travel across various buildings on the campus and an additional nearby location for all janitorial services.

Compensation:
Annual Salary Range: $31,150 - $57,850

The salary range provided reflects the annual compensation or hourly rate for this position. Actual offers will depend on the candidate's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market alignment.

Work Schedule:
FLEXIBLE Mon-Fri 7:00am-7:00pm (Must overlap between day & afternoon shift hours) + On-Call + Emergencies (As needed)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with ABM's safety protocols and conduct monthly safety training for team members.
  • Supervise team members to ensure adherence to ABM policies, including proper uniform wear and display of ID badges while on duty.
  • Manage and coordinate the execution of cleaning services at assigned educational facilities, ensuring standards set by the client are met.
  • Conduct inspections to assess the quality of services rendered, ensuring they meet ABM and client expectations.
  • Monitor and manage supplies, equipment, and personnel resources to meet safety, customer, and contract requirements.
  • Enforce physical security protocols, including the management of issued keys and ensuring all premises are secured.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the District or Regional Manager in accordance with provided instructions.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in custodial services within an educational or university environment with significant client interaction.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and achieve results through effective time management.
  • Ability to perform under pressure to meet established objectives.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, self-motivation, and initiative.
  • Valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
