The Chimes Inc is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities during the overnight shift. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and sanitary environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the interior and exterior of the building are well-maintained and presentable.
  2. Regularly remove trash and debris from designated areas.
  3. Keep common areas clean and orderly.
  4. Restock restrooms with necessary supplies, including paper products and soap.
  5. Perform routine cleaning of glass surfaces and mirrors.
  6. Assist with floor cleaning tasks, including vacuuming and mopping as needed.
  7. Maintain the grounds to meet aesthetic and health standards.
  8. Be available for on-call duties as required.
  9. Follow assigned schedules and instructions diligently.
  10. Serve as a positive role model for colleagues and individuals served.
  11. Utilize technology effectively to complete job tasks.
  12. Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policies.
  13. Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
  14. Collaborate effectively with staff, supervisors, and community professionals.
  15. Take on additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Additional Duties:

  1. Assist with inventory management.
  2. Clean and maintain custodial equipment.
  3. Perform floor maintenance tasks, including stripping, refinishing, waxing, and buffing.
  4. Maintain cleanliness of entrances, including porches and steps.
  5. Support special events by arranging and disassembling furniture.
  6. Clear snow and ice from outdoor areas as necessary.
  7. Complete other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous custodial experience of six months is preferred.
