  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, vacuum, dust, mop, wax, and buff floors, hallways, stairs, and building interiors. Operate standard cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, and mops.
  • Sanitation and Hygiene: Clean and maintain sanitary restrooms, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Waste Management: Gather and transport trash and refuse from assigned areas to appropriate disposal locations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Move and rearrange furniture and equipment as needed. Remove and install light bulbs.
  • Grounds Maintenance: May remove weeds and mow lawns. May remove ice and snow from sidewalks, steps, and grounds.
  • Supply Management: Assist in maintaining supplies and materials.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of the eighth grade.
  • Experience: Six months of cleaning or custodial experience.
  • Licensure: Valid Maryland Noncommercial Class C or equivalent driver's license (optional).
  • Skills: Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and techniques. Ability to operate and maintain non-complex hand and power cleaning tools and equipment. Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning solutions. Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
