Position Overview: The Bristol Pediatric Center, part of ProHealth Physicians (OptumCare), is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist. This full-time position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and potential extended hours on select days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage appointment scheduling and prioritize requests based on urgency, adhering to ProHealth's guidelines.
  • Consult with medical assistants or licensed clinicians for clinical decision-making as necessary.
  • Utilize the EHR system for message processing and communication with healthcare providers.
  • Welcome patients and facilitate the check-in process.
  • Monitor and follow up on daily reminder calls, ensuring patients are contacted for appointments.
  • Scan and index essential documents into the EHR, ensuring availability prior to patient visits.
  • Close payment batches at the end of each shift, following ProHealth's cash control procedures.
  • Stay informed about current OSHA and ProHealth policies.
  • Support colleagues to ensure smooth office operations and exceptional service delivery.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
