Job Purpose:
The Engineering Project Coordinator is tasked with developing capital business cases, managing capital submissions for approval, and overseeing project execution primarily at fairlife facilities located in the western United States. This role encompasses defining technical project scopes, coordinating resources, budget management, scheduling, and staffing. The coordinator will also participate in the capital strategy and governance team, which is responsible for establishing engineering and project management standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and audit business cases for all fairlife locations.
  • Oversee project management for specific manufacturing facilities.
  • Identify project phases and tasks, assign responsibilities, and evaluate contractor bids.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to establish schedules and time requirements.
  • Calculate project benefits, paybacks, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Maintain a detailed budget tracker for each project.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and design principles, incorporating feedback from relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage project costs by approving expenditures and overseeing contractor agreements.
  • Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing project information and trends.
  • Follow financial controls meticulously, documenting all project-related changes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to project management methodologies, including scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project execution to align with business requirements, tracking budgets, schedules, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create strategic action plans, including cost estimates and timelines.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments post-project to capture results and lessons learned.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of all capital project metrics.
  • Coordinate with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Managers to maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably in dairy, food & beverage, or liquid manufacturing.
  • Strong project management experience with a proven track record; PMP certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of guiding contractor and project teams.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong initiative.
  • Excellent business acumen, with the ability to effectively manage relationships.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
