We are looking for a qualified Civil Engineer who is enthusiastic about design and innovative solutions to become a part of our progressive civil design organization. The Civil Project Engineer will oversee the effective planning, design, and implementation of a variety of civil engineering initiatives across different phases of development. This position necessitates close cooperation with clients, project leaders, and other technical personnel to guarantee that projects align with predetermined timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Direct and manage assigned civil engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Design Development: Create comprehensive designs, plans, specifications, and calculations for projects related to roadways, drainage systems, grading, utilities, site development, and other civil infrastructure components.
- Technical Proficiency: Perform site evaluations, analyze survey data, conduct hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, and compile detailed engineering documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with regulatory bodies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate effectively with clients to comprehend project needs, devise solutions, and address any issues.
- Team Collaboration: Work in tandem with internal project teams, including designers, drafters, and fellow engineers. Provide mentorship to junior staff as required.
- Cost Management: Generate precise project cost estimates and assist in budget oversight.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Must hold a current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. A Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a Civil Engineer with proven project management expertise in a design firm environment.
- Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, StormCAD, HydroCAD), and other relevant engineering design tools.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of civil engineering principles, design standards, construction practices, and local regulations.
