Key Responsibilities:
- Drafts reports, final design plans, technical specifications, and various technical documents with minimal supervision.
- Ensures quality control, adheres to schedules, and oversees plan production.
- Assigns tasks within the team and provides technical guidance to ensure designs are both technically sound and cost-effective.
- Contributes to team morale and efficiency while monitoring the performance of team members.
- Facilitates coordination among team members, staff, municipalities, consultants, and clients.
- Delivers advanced technical design and quality assurance.
- Processes plans and addresses issues with plan reviewers.
- Identifies and evaluates design risks and opportunities.
- Assists in project and team management.
- Mentors junior design staff in areas of technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in land development or site development engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred, with the ability to obtain Arizona licensure within six months.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is advantageous.
- Strong computer design skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets and scheduling.
- Capable of preparing designs for a variety of projects.
- Understanding of civil engineering principles and construction documentation.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for effective communication in job-related contexts.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
