Qualifications / Experience required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. A master's degree is advantageous.

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is mandatory along with over 10 years of experience in a comparable position within an accounting or finance organization.

• Extensive experience in accounting, with the capability to research guidance on intricate topics and a strong command of accounting principles is crucial.

• Proven track record in leading and mentoring a team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.

• Demonstrated success in implementing process enhancements, questioning existing methodologies, and taking initiative in driving change.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Analytical mindset with the capability to identify process inefficiencies and promote data-driven improvements.

• Detail-oriented with robust organizational and time management capabilities.

• Proficiency in relevant financial accounting systems and software.

Key Responsibilities

As the Supervisor - Operational Accounting Center of Excellence, you will oversee a variety of essential functions. Your responsibilities will include managing the Joint Venture, Inventory accounting, and cross-company transaction champions, providing guidance and mentorship to your team while ensuring cross-training. Collaboration with the Shared Service Center will be crucial, facilitating efficient processes and effective communication in managing operations. You will lead change management initiatives and optimize our centralized accounting function. Your role will be vital in streamlining operations, standardizing processes, and advocating for excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Subject Matter Expertise:

• Exhibit a profound understanding of accounting principles and practices.

• Offer guidance and mentorship to the team on complex accounting issues.
  • Team Leadership:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Center of Excellence while ensuring effective cross-training within the team.

• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and projects.
  • Shared Service Center Collaboration:

• Work with key stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

• Act as a liaison between the Financial Accounting Group and the Shared Service Center to ensure seamless communication and execution of tasks.
  • Change Management:

• Lead and support initiatives for process improvement.

• Implement changes effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.

• Adapt to evolving accounting standards and technologies.
  • Centralized Accounting Function:

• Oversee and manage a centralized accounting function within the organization.

• Drive standardization of accounting processes, continuous improvement, and best practices.

Accountabilities:

• Promote operational excellence within the financial accounting function by identifying and implementing process improvements, optimizing workflows, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.

• Establish and maintain standardized accounting processes, best practices, and reporting procedures across the organization's centralized accounting function.

• Develop and monitor key performance metrics and indicators for the Center of Excellence team, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational objectives.
