Key Responsibilities:
As the Supervisor - Operational Accounting Center of Excellence, you will oversee a variety of essential functions. Your role will involve managing Joint Venture and Inventory accounting, as well as acting as a champion for cross-company transactions. You will provide guidance and mentorship to your team while ensuring effective cross-training. Collaboration with the Shared Service Center will be critical, focusing on efficient processes and effective communication while overseeing operations.
Core Activities:
- Subject Matter Expertise:
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to the team on intricate accounting issues.
- Team Leadership:
• Supervise and coordinate the Center of Excellence's activities, ensuring proper cross-training among team members.
• Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance work environment, ensuring timely and accurate task completion.
- Collaboration with Shared Service Center:
• Work with key stakeholders to enhance process efficiency.
• Act as a liaison between the Financial Accounting Group and the Shared Service Center to ensure seamless communication and task execution.
- Change Management:
• Lead and support initiatives aimed at process improvement.
• Implement changes effectively while minimizing disruption to daily operations.
• Adapt to evolving accounting standards and technologies.
- Centralized Accounting Function:
• Oversee and manage a centralized accounting function within the organization.
• Drive the standardization of accounting processes, continuous improvement, and best practices.
Accountabilities:
• Promote operational excellence within the financial accounting function by identifying and implementing process enhancements, optimizing workflows, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain standardized accounting processes, best practices, and reporting procedures across the centralized accounting function.
• Develop and monitor key performance metrics for the Center of Excellence team, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational objectives.
