Position Overview:

The Renewable Energy and Power team is an integral part of I.N.G.'s Sector Coverage, focusing on the power and renewables market across the Americas. This team is primarily engaged in leading project finance lending transactions, encompassing a wide array of power generation technologies such as natural gas, solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and battery storage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deal Origination and Execution: Collaborate with Managing Directors and Directors in the Renewable Energy and Power team to originate and structure financing solutions, particularly in project finance within the North American power sector. This includes conducting industry and market analyses, preparing presentations for financing opportunities, and overseeing the credit application process.
  • Mentorship and Development: Provide guidance and training to junior team members, taking on a leadership role in overseeing their contributions to deal teams.
Essential Skills:
  • Proven expertise in corporate and project finance, particularly within the North American renewable energy and power markets.
  • Strong understanding of credit assessment and debt capital markets.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced financial modeling capabilities.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and team development.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and regions.
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Self-driven with a strong work ethic and a positive professional demeanor.
Additional Requirements:
  • Submission of a writing sample (credit analysis).
  • Completion of a debt modeling assessment.
  • Provision of professional references.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years in project finance, ideally within the North American power sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Possession of Series 79/63 licenses or a commitment to obtain them within six months of employment.
