Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Renewable Energy Development to lead the full lifecycle of utility-scale energy storage projects, from initial market assessment through to financial close. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving regional expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Development: Lead project development activities to achieve successful financial close, including market assessment, site selection, and permitting.
  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including landowners, utilities, and regulatory authorities, to ensure project success.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of development analysts to ensure effective project execution.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with internal experts in real estate, engineering, legal, and finance to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Acquisition Support: Oversee acquisition support and manage external consultants to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, business, or environmental science.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in utility-scale renewable project development, with a proven track record in executing complex energy projects within PJM, NYISO, and/or ISO-NE markets.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
