JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

The Financial Systems Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Finance Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) analytics and reporting frameworks are current and functioning optimally, facilitating stable systems and seamless application operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee, assess, and maintain the performance of the PeopleSoft system, executing performance enhancements as necessary. The mainframe scheduler initiates overnight processing, which is monitored at the Network Operations Center (NOC), and this role is included in the 'on-call' roster for potential issues.
  • Supervise the Integration Broker responsible for managing email and approval processes.
  • Administer all PeopleSoft development, testing, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with Database Administrators (DBAs) to recreate or clone PeopleSoft environments as required.
  • Establish and sustain application servers, process schedulers, and web servers.
  • Conduct People Tools and application upgrades as necessary.
  • Quarterly download and install the PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) image.
  • Implement patches and updates and manage project migrations as required.
  • Work alongside vendors and staff to design, assess, install, and test software enhancements.
  • Engage in customization development, from gathering requirements to design, development, testing, and production migration support.
  • Collaborate with PeopleSoft developers to troubleshoot issues, optimize code, and execute database queries.
  • Participate as a member of the support team dedicated to maintaining a robust ERP application, which includes Finance, IT, and external vendors.
  • Track changes to People Tools objects and facilitate migration between environments as necessary.
  • Monitor non-People Tools data alterations and manage migration between environments as needed.
  • Act as a backup for the Hyperion Systems Administrator, supporting the Essbase application, including data loading and validation, cube development, security, and application issue resolution. Additionally, support the Hyperion planning application with metadata management, data loads, validations, and business rule execution.
  • Administer Oracle financial services analytical applications, focusing on metadata management, data loads, validations, and security management.
  • Collaborate with Database Administrators, Server Administrators, Finance Administrators, Hyperion System Administrators, and Financial Analysts to adapt to technological changes, including application upgrades and replacements. The Financial Systems Administrator will also facilitate knowledge transfer and support for future applications in alignment with Finance operations.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or IT; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Preferred experience of 5+ years in administering financial ERP or similar systems.
  • A combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in using PeopleSoft Application Designer, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of PeopleSoft architecture, as well as managing various PeopleTools utilities and performing basic Oracle or SQL database administration tasks.
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning Suite and Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications, including Life Cycle Management (LCM) and Financial Reports, is advantageous.
  • A solid understanding of banking reporting requirements, budgeting, and forecasting within a financial services organization is preferred.
