Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager to drive growth in our Grid Edge Solutions business within the Utility and Industrial segments in the western region of the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with a proven track record of delivering results in the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic sales growth plans to target portfolio and clearly articulate the value proposition of solutions.
Understand focused applications and market opportunities and translate them into customer values that will positively impact the business.
Interface with account managers and other regional sales teams to develop and implement account specific strategies within new and existing customers and target markets.
Improve portfolio penetration across key focus customers with support of account managers and technical resources through new solutions and services.
Engage with EPC or end-user leaders and executives to develop relationships, understand their business and formulate business solutions to create value.
Work closely with Product Management and Product Marketing to enhance and continue to develop leading edge technology that will drive market adoption and better fit customer needs.
Engage with prospects to understand specific needs/problems and lead/contribute to the development of appropriate technical solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred). Equivalent industry experience in the Energy industry (Transmission, Distribution or Generation markets) may be substituted for education requirements.
7+ years business development experience in the Electric Utilities or Industrial Markets.
5+ years of solution/consultative sales experience.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Proven experience developing and implementing business strategies.
Excellent proven customer-facing and presentation skills for technical solutions.
Background in selling Battery Energy Storage Solutions, Microgrids, or Substation Automation is a plus.
