Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Compunnel. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interviews and Registers Patients: Conduct thorough interviews with patients to obtain demographic information, medical history, and insurance details.
  • Verifies Insurance Eligibility: Ensures reimbursement for services by verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining authorization within the required timeframe.
  • Manages Patient Records: Inputs patient registration information into our computer registration system and verifies accuracy of information.
  • Provides Patient Support: Discusses financial arrangements and issues with patients and/or family members, and facilitates patient flow by directing patients to correct locations and arranging patient transport.
  • Maintains Patient Charts: Prepares required forms, orders, and maintains inventory of supplies as required.
  • Participates in Process Improvement: Collaborates with our healthcare teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Patient Registration Procedures: Demonstrated understanding of patient registration procedures and documentation.
  • Knowledge of Medical Insurance Claims: Familiarity with medical insurance claims procedures and documentation.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders.
