Key Responsibilities:

The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Welcoming patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Managing patient registration and appointment scheduling efficiently, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Handling incoming calls, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel, and relaying messages accurately.
  • Facilitating the check-out process for patients post-examination, including scheduling follow-up appointments and providing necessary information.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant laws and guidelines regarding patient information.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Patient Care Coordinator position will possess the following qualifications:

Level 1:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Completion of required training within the initial period of employment.
Level 2 (including Level 1 requirements):
  • At least 18 months of experience in a medical office setting, including familiarity with insurance processes and scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of clinic operations and personnel is advantageous.
Senior Level (including Level 1 and 2 requirements):
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical office environment, with a strong background in insurance and scheduling.
Physical and Work Environment:

The role requires regular interaction with patients and staff, and the ability to perform tasks that may involve sitting, standing, and occasional lifting. Reasonable accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities to ensure they can fulfill the essential functions of the position.
