Job Overview

Advanced Programs, Inc. (API) is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to spearhead efforts in identifying new opportunities and expanding into adjacent markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving business growth in the Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Intelligence Community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze potential growth areas, with a focus on secure offerings for the DoD and Intelligence Community.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in defense, intelligence, and government sectors to create new business opportunities.
  • Drive business expansion by developing and executing business strategies to expand into defense, intelligence, and related markets.
  • Oversee the development and submission of proposals for new government contracts, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about emerging trends, competitors, and technologies in the defense and intelligence sectors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and continuously explore new opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with company capabilities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of business development experience, with direct involvement in or with the U.S. defense or Intelligence Community.
  • Familiarity with secure systems used by the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
  • Proven track record of identifying and securing new business in defense and intelligence sectors.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to foster partnerships.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills to drive business expansion.
  • Experience with government contracts and proposal writing, particularly with the DoD and Intelligence Community.
  • Active security clearance required (or ability to obtain one).
