Key Responsibilities:

· Financial Management of Projects:

o Establish and manage project accounts within the ERP system, including revenue and expense forecasts.

o Regularly review project budgets and conduct audits on job costs, reporting discrepancies to the project team.

o Assist the project team with monthly financial forecasts.

o Collaborate with the project team to plan payroll expenses for self-performed tasks, ensuring accurate coding.

o Review and verify all change orders for accuracy prior to submission.

o Attend jobsite meetings and document any issues.

o Prepare and assess payment applications in conjunction with the Project Manager.

o Conduct daily/weekly reviews and entries of labor hours, ensuring correct classification.

o Reconcile cost accounts and make necessary adjustments to accurately reflect project costs.

· Compliance and Administrative Duties:

o Compile weekly certified payroll reports for federally funded projects.

o Prepare lien waivers as required.

o Approve lien waivers and coordinate with subcontractors for timely submission of payment applications.

o Review and approve subcontractor payment requests.

o Manage the project closeout process, including final billing and cost reconciliations.

o Assist the payroll team with inquiries regarding project hours.

o Support the project team through challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.

Essential Skills:

o Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

o Highly organized and proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

o Familiarity with the construction sector, project accounting, and management, along with a strong numerical aptitude.

o Uphold a high level of confidentiality.

o Demonstrate accountability for responsibilities and see tasks through to completion.

Qualifications:

o A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

o A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting within a commercial construction environment.

o Experience with Trimble Viewpoint is advantageous, though not mandatory.
