Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly financial reporting close process and accurately record journal entries for property-level business transactions, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts with sub-ledgers and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Review corporate credit card statements and manage expense reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules for tax returns.
  • Coordinate operating, capital improvement, and construction budgets in collaboration with Asset Management and Development teams.
  • Facilitate due diligence requests related to acquisitions, financing, and refinancing.
  • Act as a liaison between the Accounting and Asset Management teams to provide financial analyses, including property operating results and leasing data as part of the monthly financial reporting package.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses for executive management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP accrual accounting.
  • Proficient in business software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
