Job Description

**Program Director**

The Program Director oversees the daily operations of the Jordan Downs Center, ensuring that program objectives are met and participants receive high-quality services in a clean, safe environment. This role includes program management responsibilities as well as maintaining the building to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Management:
    • Plan, implement, and oversee program activities and services to achieve organizational goals.
    • Coordinate with staff and stakeholders to ensure smooth program operations and address issues.
    • Monitor program performance, track key metrics, and prepare outcomes and progress reports.
    • Build and maintain relationships with families, providing them with comprehensive information about program offerings.
  • Recruitment:
    • To effectively recruit a diverse range of families from the community for your programs, you'll need a strategic outreach plan that is culturally sensitive and community-focused.
    • Conduct presentations and informational sessions to introduce the program to families and community organizations.
    • Organize and attend community events to promote the program and engage with prospective families.
  • Participant Support:
    • Provide direct support and guidance to program participants as needed.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Staff Coordination:
    • Supervise program staff, including scheduling, training, and performance feedback.
    • Facilitate staff meetings and ensure effective communication within the team.
    • Curriculum should be submitted to the Educational Director weekly to ensure it aligns with the mission of Children Mending Hearts.
  • Building Maintenance:
    • Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of the program building, including routine cleaning, repairs, and safety inspections.
    • Coordinate with maintenance staff or contractors to address facility issues or emergencies.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe, functional environment for staff and participants.
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage program supplies and equipment, including inventory tracking and ordering.
    • Ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Budget Oversight:
    • Assist in the preparation and management of the program budget, including tracking expenditures and ensuring appropriate use of financial resources.
  • Community Outreach:
    • Represent the program at community events and meetings to build partnerships and promote program activities.
    • Engage with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance program visibility and impact.
  • Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure the program operates in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
    • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in management, social services, facilities management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in program coordination or management, with a strong understanding of program operations and administration.
  • Experience in building maintenance or facilities management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to address facility issues promptly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in using Google Suite software and basic facility management tools.
