Aquatics Director Job Description

Lamwork is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatics Director to oversee the development and implementation of our youth aquatics programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of instructors, developing and maintaining high-quality programs, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Develop and implement high-quality youth aquatics programs that meet the needs and interests of our members.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of instructors, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, including the development and implementation of risk management programs.
  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our aquatic facilities, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and supplies.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the department's budget, including financial planning and billing.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, and community leaders to ensure the success of our programs.
  • Event Planning: Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute events, including youth and family events.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for staff and instructors, including onboarding, orientation, and performance reviews.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Promote our programs and services to the community, including developing marketing materials and promoting our brand.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, recreation, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, including experience in program development, team management, and risk management.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with staff, volunteers, and community leaders. Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
